Sautéed Mushrooms and Green Beans

Two classic ingredients with a little twist can easily become your new signature side dish! Simply, toss the mushrooms with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper, then roast. Prepare the green beans by blanching them first, then putting them in an ice bath, then sautéing them with olive oil and garlic. Then combine the two, add a little bacon, and you’re done!

Asian Style Honey Glazed Carrots

This recipe has such a unique combination of flavors that will have your guests wanting more! Add sliced carrots to a hot pan and toss them in olive oil. Cover the pan and cook them for several minutes, then toss them again. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic powder and ginger, and Sriracha in a bowl. After the carrots have cooked, covered for about 7 to 8 minutes, pour the honey mixture over them and toss them well in the mixture. Let them simmer for 8-10 minutes then add some sliced green onions. Then you’re ready to go!

Maple Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Sweet Potatoes

This is a great side dish option for those who don’t love vegetables. The sweet flavors really bring it all together! Simply prepare a baking sheet with oiled paper. Then, place the Brussels sprouts, cubed sweet potatoes, olive oil, garlic, maple syrup, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and salt in a large bowl and toss to fully coat. Spread the veggies in a single layer on the baking sheet, roast them for 30 minutes until tender. Serve and enjoy!

Double Pumpkin Maple Popcorn

This recipe is simple but delightful! Luckily for you, our Thanksgiving Care Package comes already equipped with pumpkin popcorn! Set half the popcorn aside and lightly salt it, then in a small saucepan melt coconut oil, slowly stir in maple syrup, pumpkin, salt, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice. Bring to a boil, then pour over the popcorn in a large bowl. Combine it well then place the popcorn onto a large baking sheet and bake for about 1 hour 15 minutes. Toss with tongs every 15 minutes, then in the last 15 minutes add chopped pecans. This side dish will add just a little sweetness to your meal!

Stovetop Creamed Corn

Here is a recipe for those who are fans of the classics! Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium, then add the diced onion, and cook for 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften. In a small bowl whisk together milk and flour. Add the corn, black pepper, salt, heavy cream, and milk mixture to the skillet. Continue to cook, stirring often, until the mixture begins to thicken or for about 5-7 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Parmesan Cauliflower

This is a healthy and hearty recipe that makes the perfect side dish! Simply, pull florets from the cauliflower head, then add to a large mixing bowl with olive oil, and stir to coat. Sprinkle florets with Old Bay seasoning, chili pepper, and fresh pepper. Pour the cauliflower onto a foil-lined baking sheet then bake for 15 minutes. While the cauliflower bakes, grate sharp white cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese. Remove the cauliflower, and sprinkle florets with cheese, covering them evenly. Place cauliflower back in the oven on the top rack, and bake for 7-10 more minutes or until the cheese is crispy. Place in a bowl and serve!

Twice Baked Potato Casserole

Potatoes are a must-have at Thanksgiving, so here is a recipe that switches up the classic! First, wash the potatoes and wipe them dry, then place them on a baking tray, and bake for about an hour. Cool completely, then peel the potatoes and shred them. Place them into a large mixing bowl and add minced onion, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix it gently, then add the cheese and the sour cream, and mix gently again. Transfer the potato mixture to a square pan or casserole dish. Bake in a preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes.
